Let’s dive under the sea and explore the ocean! This small world is a fun and easy water play is a great way to bring the ocean to life and allow children to explore what they know about the sea and create stories related.
Fill a tuff tray with water and dye it blue with food colouring! Then add your ocean animals (whales, sharks, dolphins, etc), shells, coral and add other small world pieces to bring it to life! Then add little boats and a solar fountain to support the play.
Ways to extend the play:
-Match the let’s investigate stones with the ocean animals and shells
- Identify the ocean animals you see
-Tell an ocean story
-Draw what you think the bottom of the ocean looks like!
-Read a book about the oceans and relate it to what you see
