A multi-layer wooden puzzle featuring 10 colourful wild animals, ideal for learning facts about animals, how skeletons differ between species, extending the discussion to human bodies and how they are similar or different to animals, for exploring language around size and comparison, and for developing an interest in and understanding of animals and their environments. The animal pieces are a chunky 15mm deep and double-sided so can be stood upright in imaginative play scenes or stacked vertically to use coordination and balancing skills. The base tray features lasered skeletons for matching with each animal and the removeable layer has the animal shapes cut out to create an additional puzzle match activity. The skeletons in the base tray and features on the animals are deeply lasered for a tactile experience and can be used for tracing over or crayon rubbing on paper; theanimal pieces and shape tray can be used for drawing, colouring or filling with colourful rice or beads for an additional sensory exercise. Crocodile, chameleon, gorilla, elephant and rhinoceros are painted with laser details. Leopard and meerkat are natural with laser details. Toucan, zebra and snake are colour printed.
