The weaving wall allows children to explore building fine motor skills as they weave nature items, scarves or different pieces through the frame to create! Weave up and down, left to right, on a diagonal or any way children can think of. The weaving wall can even be used with clothespins to attach nature finds to the frame so children can observe them up close!
Activity Ideas:
-Weave rainbow scarves and create patterns!
-Encourage children to clip their nature finds to the wall and talk about what they have found.
-Create a unique mural by weaving scarves and nature finds together!
-Attach magnetic numbers or large print outs of numbers to the frame and encourage children to clip that many things beside it on the frame
-Clip coloured circles on the frame and encourage children to match their nature finds to the circle!
