Our first programmable robot designed for outdoor use!

Designed for robust challenges, Rugged Robot is capable to navigate all terrains including sand, grit, dirt, long grass and even water! Boasting Bluetooth functionality, Rugged Robot can be controlled via a free tablet app or the TTS TacTile Reader.

With 45 degree turns and a memory of up to 256 steps, Rugged Robot will be able to carry out the most challenging of activities. 3 speed settings allow students to set how fast the robot moves depending on the terrain. The third speed setting is ideal for use in long grass, as Rugged Robot will use more torque when turning.

An obstacle sensor which can be turned on and off will detect obstacles in front of the robot and reverse and rotate 45 degrees before carrying out the rest of the program.
