Little Boy Blue Literacy Building Nursery Rhyme Aligned to Common

The nursery rhyme in this lesson plan has been developed to strengthen students' phonemic awareness, rhyming, listening, speaking and reading skills. It is divided into five areas. They are picture discussion, teaching the rhyme, rhyme discussion, vocabulary skills, and phonetic skills. Teacher notes included. Meets Common Core Standards by using illustrations to describe key ideas, participating in group reading activities, understanding text read aloud, matching words and pictures, matching words to rhyming pictures, circling pictures that begin with "h" and circling words that are the same.
