Maternity Leave – Contract Position
Retail Administrator

Our Head Office in London, ON requires a Retail Administrator for a Maternity Leave Contract.

The Retail Administrator provides support to the Director of Retail Operations and all retail stores through the monitoring, analysis and communication of policies, procedures, record-keeping and activities of retail operations. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the creation and distribution of retail policies and procedures including weekly promotional procedures.
  • Collection and analysis of retail results related to promotions and events
  • Collect, monitor and report on all store paperwork required by retail operations and follow-up on all retail directives to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate store employee schedules, create template, collect and save all final schedules.
  • Monitor all daily cycle counts, two complete cycle counts throughout the year, inventory adjustments and inventory registers, facilitate year end inventory
  • Respond and follow up on customer concerns related to retail
  • Maintain up to date store records for all facilities-related issues.(fire extinguishers, first aid kits, lighting and HVAC)
  • Responsible to follow and implement all health and safety policies as outlined by the Health and Safety committee and the company.
  • Ensures compliance to Health and Safety Standards at all retail locations.

Skill Requirements:

Microsoft Office Suite – expert level
2-3 years retail experience
Post secondary education in Business Administration or similar field
Detail oriented
Highly organized
Ability to work with many personality types

Part Time Sales: 

Reports to: Retail Manager

Accountabilities

  • Assist customers with friendly, knowledgeable and courteous service.
  • Make every effort to maximize sales.
  • Follow all operating policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the store is clean, tidy and well merchandised.
  • Assist in attaining the daily and monthly store sales goals as well as personal sales goals.
  • Be aware of and up to date on all advertising campaigns and promotions currently in effect in the store.
  • Ensure the stock room is clean and organized.
  • Maintain a professional and well-groomed appearance.

    Specific Responsibilities

  • Assist other team members with product knowledge by sharing ideas learned at the store and in previous retail positions.
  • Assist in the operation of key functions including daily sales analysis sheets, point-of-sale system, merchandising, customer service, product knowledge, bar code error reports, inventory count issues and the correct pricing and merchandising of stock.
  • Attend all team meetings to resolve operational issues and share thoughts and ideas.
  • Assist in keeping the store clean, tidy and well merchandised.
  • Ensure merchandise is quickly priced and placed in the appropriate section as per plan-o-grams.
  • Attain the daily and monthly store sales goals as well as personal goals as set by the Store Manager.
  • Process sales transactions quickly and efficiently.
  • Provide timely and knowledgeable information about products to customers and adopt a hands-on philosophy as it pertains to products.
  • Cross-sell and up-sell products at every opportunity.
  • Relay information to the Assistant Manager or Store Manager on fast- and slow-moving items so that appropriate action can be taken.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of customers, fellow employees and the company.
